মাহামুদুর রহমান সৈকত ২০০৪ সালের ১১ সেপ্টেম্বর জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি ২০২৩ এ সরকারি মোহাম্মদপুর মডেল স্কুল এন্ড কলেজ থেকে HSC পাস করেন। মাহাবুবের রহমান ও আফরোজা রহমানের ৩ ছেলেমেয়ের মাঝে তিনিই একমাত্র এবং সবচেয়ে ছোট ছেলে। তার বড় দুই বোন রয়েছে। তার গ্রামের বাড়ি চট্টগ্রাম জেলার সন্দীপ থানায়।
Cause
১৯ জুলাই দুপুর ৩:৩৭ এ তাকে রাজিয়া সুলতানা রোড এর মাথায় স্টেপ জুতার দোকানের পাশের গলিতে গুলি করা হয়।তিনি কোন ধরনের রাজনৈতিক বিষয়ের সাথে জড়িত ছিলেন না।তিনি তার বাবার দোকানের শাটার বন্ধ করার উদ্দেশ্যে বের হয়েছিলেন এবং এক বন্ধুর গায়ে গুলি লাগায় তাকে বাঁচাতে গিয়েছিলেন।হাসপাতালে নেওয়ার আগেই তিনি মৃত্যুবরণ করেন। 'ছেলেটা খুব ডিস্টার্ব করতেছে', বলেই গুলি করা শুরু করে পুলিশ। যখন গুলি করার পর মাটিতে লুটিয়ে পড়েছে তাঁর দেহ, তখনও গুলি চালানো হচ্ছিলো অবিরত।

Mahmudur Rahman Saikat was born on September 11, 2004. He passed HSC from Government Mohammadpur Model School and College in 2023. He is the only and youngest son among the three children of Mahbubur Rahman and Afroza Rahman. He has 2 elder sister. His village home is in Sandeep thana of Chittagong district.
Cause
At 3:37 pm on 19 July, he was shot in an alley beside a shoe store at the head of Rajia Sultana Road. He was not involved in any kind of politics. He had come out to close the shutters of his father's shop and went to save a friend who had been shot. He died before being taken to the hospital. "The boy is causing too much trouble," the police said, and started shooting. Even after his body fell to the ground after being shot, the shooting continued unabated.
