ঢাকা, ১২ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৫ (বাসস) : আমার ছেলে দুইবার বাবা ডাক দিয়ে নিথর হয়ে গেল। ৬ বছর আড়াই মাসের জাবির ইব্রাহিম। গত মে মাসের ১৯ তারিখ ছিল আমার কলিজার টুকরার ৭ম জন্মদিন। আর কোনদিন রঙিন বেলুন আর কেক কাটা নিয়ে আনন্দে মেতে উঠবে না সে। বেঁচে থাকলে জাবিরের বয়স সাত বছর পার হতো। তিনভাইয়ের যৌথ পরিবারের বারোতম সন্তানটা হারিয়ে গেল ঘাতকের বুলেটের আঘাতে। এই কয়মাসে পরিবারের অনেকের জন্মদিন এসেছে,সবার মন খারাপ হয়ে যায়। কারণ কারো জন্মদিন হলেই প্রথম কেক কাটতে পছন্দ করতো জাবির। জাবিরের বাবা ক্ষুদ্র ব্যবসায়ী কবির হোসেন বলেন, যে তিনজন ছোট শিশু বৈষম্যবিরোধী আন্দোলনে শহীদ হয়েছে, তাদের মধ্যে জাবির একজন। ২০১৮ সালে রাজধানীর উত্তরায় জন্মগ্রহণ করে। বড়বোন জুমাইনা কবির নেহা(২২) ড্যাফোডিল ইউনিভার্সিটিতে প্রথম বর্ষে পড়ছে, মেঝোভাই জুহায়ের মাহতাব আবদুল্লাহ উত্তরার দক্ষিণ খানের প্রেম বাগানের কে. সি. মডেল স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজে ষষ্ঠ শ্রেণিতে পড়ে।
Cause
উত্তরার দক্ষিণখান থানার পশ্চিম মোল্লারটেকের বাসিন্দা কবির হোসেন বলেন, ২০২৪ সালের ৫ আগস্ট সোমবার ছিল ফ্যাসীবাদী সরকারের পতনের দিন। শেখ হাসিনা পালিয়ে যাওয়ার দিন। এসময় জাবিরের বাবা ও তিনচাচার পরিবারসহ সকলে দুপুর দুইটার দিকে 'লং মার্চ টু ঢাকা' কর্মসূচিতে যোগ দেওয়ার উদ্দেশ্যে বের হন। সঙ্গে ছিল জাবিরও। উত্তরা আর্মড পুলিশ ব্যাটেলিয়ন পাবলিক স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজের উত্তর গেটে বিকেল সাড়ে চারটার দিকে পুলিশের গুলিতে শহীদ হয় জাবির। জাবিরের বাবা বলেন, ঘটনার দিনে আমি ওকে হাত ধরে নিয়ে আসছিলাম, এরইমধ্যে পুলিশ জাবিরকে টার্গেট করে গুলি করে হত্যা করে। এসময় আমার হাত ধরে ছিল সে। হাতে বাংলাদেশের পতাকা নিয়ে 'বাংলাদেশ, বাংলাদেশ' বলে চিৎকার করছিল ।

Cause
Kabir Hossain, a resident of Paschim Mollaratek in Uttara's South area, said that August 5, 2024, was the day the fascist government fell, the day Sheikh Hasina fled. Jabir's father said, "On the day of the incident, I was holding his hand and bringing him along when the police targeted Jabir and shot him to death. At that time, he was holding my hand, and he was shouting 'Bangladesh, Bangladesh' while holding the flag of Bangladesh.
